St. Margaret Sailing Club, located in St. Margaret’s Bay, N.S., will host approximately 25 athletes competing in the Olympic ILCA classes from Canada, the U.S.A. and Mexico for the “Spring Fling” Regatta to be held May 20-21.

This regatta is part of Sail Canada Canadian Sailing Team (CST) and Canadian Sailing Development Squad (CSDS) Integration Camp held at St. Margaret Sailing Club (SMSC) since May 10. 

These camps are great opportunities of learning for athletes not part of the CST and CSDS as a select number of them works with a coach alongside the CST and CSDS during some drills. At the end of the day, all participants come together for debriefings and as much of the on-water sessions as possible. These camps will then leave athletes with an appreciation for the level and standard of professionalism to which CST & CSDS are held.
