Waterfront Management

Policy Adopted June 3rd, 2020


1. Seasonal rental agreements are for the specific boat indicated in the rental agreement. Any change to a different boat must be requested and approved by the Waterfront Director in writing.

2. A boat’s suitability for a specific slip shall be at the discretion of the Waterfront Director. Consideration shall include the boat’s length and width, weight, maneuverability, and how the boat may affect the use of the marina by other slip renters. As a general rule, a boat’s overall length shall not exceed the slip length by more than 3 feet.

3. Requests for new slips, slip moves, change of boats, etc. must be in writing or by a telephone call to the Manager or Waterfront Director (later confirmed in writing). New boats must include their specifics (boat type, dimensions, displacement, draft, etc.). The Club Manager or Waterfront Director shall maintain the waiting list.

4. Slips may be assigned or re-assigned at the discretion of the Waterfront Director. Additionally, slips may be reassigned:

a. as requested by a current renter, who has paid the $2,500 retention fee, that requests a different slip (priority over 4b).

b. as requested by a current renter that requests a different slip.

c. to manage the utilization of the marina to best effect. The affected parties shall be consulted.

5. Renewing seasonal renters must pay all membership and marina fees by March 1st to hold their slip.

6. The waiting list shall be processed in the following order when a suitable slip becomes available:

a. Slip moves (per item 4 above)

b. Regular Members

c. Social Members

d. Non-Members

7. When a slip offer by the club has been made to a new renter, the potential renter needs to confirm interest and pay at least 50% of the applicable seasonal rental fee within 7-days. The outstanding balance (including membership, if appropriate) and rental agreement must be completed within 14-days.

8. If a slip offer has been made, but either not responded in the time requested to or declined to be rented, that person shall not be added back to the waiting list until the end of the current season.

9. Any conflict between this policy and the Rental Agreement in place.
