Club Attendant
We’re seeking a Seasonal Club Attendant to add to our friendly team at St. Margaret Sailing Club. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outside. Some of the key responsibilities are operating the club tender, daily mooring checks, groundskeeping, and clubhouse tidying.
So, what will you be doing?
Keeping the docks clean and tidy.
Emptying garbage and recycling bins.
Keeping clubhouse clean.
Cleaning bathrooms regularly.
Cutting grass, picking-up garbage, and tidying lawn furniture.
Doing odd projects, like painting, or small repairs.
Welcoming members and guests.
Assisting with social events, BBQs, regattas, etc.
Providing orientation to visiting boaters.
Things we need from you:
Your can-do attitude - the most important requirement, since there is lots to do.
You can operate a power boat without hitting other things or people.
You have a PCOC and ROC(M). Don’t have them? Then promise to get them before June 1st.
Weekends are busy, so that’s when we will need you here. I know, that sucks.
You have enthusiasm for emptying garbage cans.
You have a great sense of humour (needed to charm grumpy sailors).
It would be cool if:
You know a lot about sailing and sailing clubs.
You can make espresso drinks.
You have a Serve Right certification.
Let’s talk time and money:
$18.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay
35 hours per week
June 1st to September 1st (flexible)
Part-time hours available in May and September
Any tips received are paid out each bi-weekly payroll.
