SMSC will host the 2025 Sail East Championship at the Bay Wind Regatta this year.
SMSC is a favorite destination for young sailors from across Eastern Canada who come to our Club for Sail East and Bay Wind, and the superb championship racing we offer in the Bay.
This long-running Regatta is a much-loved event on the summer racing circuit, for keen racers, and first-timers alike.
This year’s pre-Regatta Training Clinic on July 18 offers participants the opportunity to tune up their racing skills with the support of experienced and accomplished coaches.

Spring Fling Regatta
This competition is part of Sail Canada Canadian Sailing Team (CST) and Canadian Sailing Development Squad (CSDS) Integration Camp held at St. Margaret Sailing Club (SMSC).
These camps are great opportunities of learning for athletes not part of the CST and CSDS as a select number of them works with a coach alongside the CST and CSDS during some drills. At the end of the day, all participants come together for debriefings and as much of the on-water sessions as possible. These camps will then leave athletes with an appreciation for the level and standard of professionalism to which CST & CSDS are held.

We hope you can join us to learn more and consider how you might get involved. For more information in the meantime, feel free to contact any member of our launch crew:

On The Hard Dart League
Well, this is the image you get when you ask AI to generate a Dart League image with a hospital theme — *sigh*. Ok, I can run with this….
Longing for a game of darts when you need to take a break from that marathon surgery? Look no further! Zip on down to St. Margaret Sailing Club this Wednesday night at 7pm. Don’t worry, your anestatist will keep your patient afloat while you get in a quick game or two. If you’re brief, you could probably stay scrubbed-in and get back to the O.R. before anyone notices you were gone.
Unlike the O.R. in the photo, we do not allow smoking in the clubhouse or on the decks (i.e. licensed areas).
Thank-you again Anson Lee-Pearn for giving our dart players a little liquid confidence, similar to the surgeons in the photo above!
