We need all hands on deck to give some much-needed TLC to our clubhouse and grounds during our Annual Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 starting at 10 am. A list of tasks will be published closer to the date.

As members, this is our clubhouse and it’s up to us to keep it in ship-shape condition.

Free non-alcoholic beverages and pizza will be provided at lunchtime. With specials on Draught Beer, Draught Cider and House Wine during the Happy Hour after-party.

SMSC has an ambitious fundraising plan to support the Learn to Sail program. We'll be meeting on Monday, April 29 at 7:30pm (at the club) and welcome anyone who wants to join us to brainstorm some ideas and take on some fun plans. A few ideas we're working on:

Our series of Wednesday night dart games are for beginners and experts alike. Teams will be selected every evening comprising a fair mix of the two. Members and their guests welcome.

The bar will be open and snacks will be available.

Cannonball Friday is back Friday May 3rd 2024!

Join us for some amazing live music and dinner provided by Gretchen and Mike Amirault. $12 per person will get you front and centre to a great show to enjoy while munching down on some delicious baked beans, hearty local Cavicchi’s sausages, and mouth-watering cornmeal muffins.

We are so excited to have this as a great fundraising opportunity for our own Learn to Sail program!

From 1:30pm-4:00pm watch an intense sailing race, enjoy Chilli with all the fixings, have a drink or two at the clubhouse bar, and purchase some SMSC swag to rock throughout the summer.

We have a suggested donation to the LTS program of $5 however if you would like to donate more it would be tremendously appreciated!

Celebrate the start of the 2024 membership season with your long-time SMSC friends and the club's newest members!

From 1-4pm come have an introduction to sailing with some of our learn to sail coaches. Kids entertainment will follow from 4pm-6pm.

At 5pm we will have a special presentation from Billy Gooderham, Canadian Sail GP Flight Controller followed by a Q&A session. This portion of the opener will be open with no registration necessary.

The remainder of this event will be open to members and invited guests and advanced registration will be required. Registration opens soon!

Our barbecue will be from 6-7pm to with burgers and hotdogs, before we start jamming to music by Rob Francis and enjoying some drinks together in the clubhouse.

The Annual Fish Fry, one of SMSC's oldest traditions, harks back to the days when our power boat members went fishing and brought in their catch to fry. With a great recipe for the fish, and an opportunity to get together, our founding members started a tradition that’s still enjoyed today. We’ve changed locations and buy the fish, but it's local, fresh and prepared the same way by our "Master Chefs."

This event is will be by advance ticket purchase only. Ticket sales will be announced several weeks before the event.

Celebrating women on the water. This Keelboat Race event promotes women racing by ensuring a female is at the helm for most of the race, necessarily including the start and all mark roundings. Also by having females aboard to crew in all aspects of sailing.
