COVID-19 - Protocol

Dear Fellow Members and Visitors:

When using our property or marina, please follow the COVID-19 Protocol below, adopted by our Board of Directors on May 20th, 2020:

COVID-19 - Protocol

  1. On Land:
    1. The clubhouse and Sailing Centre buildings are closed to all members and guests, except that volunteers and staff may access to the buildings to facilitate their work, with prior approval of a board member.
    2. The basement member-access area in the clubhouse is closed.
    3. 6’ social distancing is to be maintained at all times with those outside your immediate family or household family bubble.
    4. Please observe social distancing guidelines similar to using a public park while accessing the grounds.
  2. On the Marina:
    1. The lower parking lot (other than loading/unloading) is reserved for marina and mooring users.
    2. Do not congregate or loiter on the marina.
    3. 6’ social distancing is to be maintained at all times
    4. Only use the floats to get to your boat or dingy.
    5. To maintain safe social distancing while walking on the marina, the following right of way rules will apply:
      1. Anyone entering the marina (going to their boat) has “Right of Way” over someone returning to shore (leaving their boat).
      2. The person exiting the marina will step down a finger to allow the person to pass.
    6. Only provide docking assistance when requested, or when you feel it is an emergency.
  3. On the Water:
    1. We can only encourage you to follow provincial public health guidelines currently in force while at sea. Please refer to https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/ for guidance and updates.

Best Regards,
