COVID-19 - Interim Policy

Dear Fellow Members and Visitors:

The Board of Directors has decided to update our COVID-19 Interim Policy to primarily suspend all activities at our club. The following policy is effective immediately:

COVID-19 - Interim Policy Version 2

  1. All committee meetings and social activities at the clubhouse are suspended until April 1st, 2020

  2. In-person meetings with SMSC staff are by appointment only.

  3. SMSC staff will decide whether a specific in-person meeting is necessary.

  4. Members should use mail or electronic forms of payment for fees if they have the capability.

  5. For business continuity, our administrative meetings will continue using telephone or video conferencing to ensure we are prepared for the start of the sailing season. Contact our Director of I.T. if your comittee needs this service.

  6. The marina and mooring preparations will continue as scheduled.

  7. Junior Sail Registrations will continue as normal; however, full refunds will be issued for cancelled programs.

  8. All members, employees and visitors to our facility are expected to monitor and follow the guidelines published by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness
